This year marks a significant milestone in the journey of St. Kizito’s Litein School for the Deaf as we proudly celebrate our 40th Anniversary. Since its establishment, the school has stood as a beacon of hope, inclusion, and empowerment for hearing-impaired learners in Kenya and beyond. Over the decades, St. Kizito’s has remained steadfast in its mission to provide quality education, nurture talents, and build the confidence of children with hearing challenges, helping them grow into independent and responsible members of society.

The 40th Anniversary Celebration, scheduled for Saturday, 26th July 2025, will be a grand occasion to reflect on our achievements, honor those who have walked with us through the years, and envision the future of inclusive education. The event will commence at 9:00 AM with a Holy Mass, which will be celebrated by Rt. Rev. Alfred Rotich, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Kericho. This spiritual gathering will set a prayerful and reflective tone for the day’s celebrations.

Guided by the inspiring theme:
“Breaking Barriers, Building Futures Together for Hearing Impaired Learners,”
this celebration underscores our continued commitment to removing the obstacles faced by children with hearing impairments and creating pathways for their academic, social, and emotional success. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive—regardless of their hearing ability.

The event will feature speeches from key stakeholders in the education and disability sectors, performances by students, showcases of school history and achievements, and opportunities for reunion and networking among alumni, staff, parents, partners, and supporters.

As we look back with pride on the past 40 years, we are also looking forward with renewed hope and determination. This celebration is not only a tribute to our legacy but also a call to action for continued support, advocacy, and investment in the education of hearing-impaired learners.
